Japan's largest financial group, SBI Holdings, has announced plans to launch an exchange-traded fund (ETF) that can simultaneously invest in Bitcoin (BTC) and XRP. SBI reported in its corporate performance report on the 6th that it will launch and list on the Tokyo Stock Exchange an ETF mixing gold and cryptocurrency, as well as an ETF mixing Bitcoin and XRP.
2. Nomura Subsidiary Launches Legal Cryptocurrency Options OTC Desk in Dubai
Nomura Group subsidiary Laser Digital opened an over-the-counter (OTC) desk offering cryptocurrency options on the 6th, complying with the Dubai Virtual Asset Regulatory Authority (VARA)'s pilot framework.
3. Global Cryptocurrency Salary Acceptance Rate Triples in One Year
The number of people receiving cryptocurrency as salary has increased approximately threefold in the past year. Venture capital Pantera Capital conducted a survey of 1,600 cryptocurrency-related professionals across 77 countries, revealing that about 9.6% of them are receiving their salary in cryptocurrency.
4. Coinbase Legal Team Meets with Indian Government Agency
The Coinbase legal team met with the Indian government's IT department on the 6th to explore cooperation. Paul Grewal, Coinbase's Chief Legal Officer, met with Karnataka State IT Minister Priyank Karge to discuss potential ways Coinbase could collaborate in developing India's cryptocurrency infrastructure.
